The Hot Chocolate Run is a 5K run and a 2 mile walk

through downtown Northampton, Massachusetts.  
The event is held the first week of December–a chilly time of year

The Hot Chocolate Run raises funds for Safe Passage, the Hampshire County organization providing shelter, counseling, and advocacy services to women and children who have experienced domestic violence

If you are at the corner of Main and Center Streets in the heart of downtown -  you'll run into "The Happy Frog"

In order to keep the frog happy you've got to give it donations
    
"Feed the Frog - Feed the Hungry"

Sculpted by renowned local artist Lu Stubbs, the Happy Frog pedestal 
contains a bank where donations can be made to help the hungry 
of our community.  

All donations go to the Friends of Hampshire County 
Homeless Individuals Inc. who provide meals for the hungry.
